Hi Daniel-gabriel & shadow - thank you very much for taking the time to help me.
I downloaded the files Daniel-gabriel linked to and put them on the SD card; I had to rename the folder to 'Default' as per instructions.
The unit booted up and I used the 'Reset' button to reach the SD card. There is a problem that when I press the 'Navigate' button I get an error;
'Application Primo.exe encountered a serious error and must be shut down'
Hopefully we can find a solution to this problem
Thank you both again for all the help and time you have given me.
Regards, Ramses
PS - I can'r see a way to post pictures to the forum ?

Cred că liciențele sânt problema nu am un model de mio ca al tău să incerc dar schimbă programul de Igo acum am văzut și sânt de la #varju#
Hi again Daniel-gabriel. Thank you very much for uploading the files. The results were a bit mixed !
Firstly, the unit does boot and I can now press the 'Navigation' Button - it leads to the Primo loading screen - Primo loads and then either goes to a screen that asks about collecting information and asks to press 'YES' or 'NO' or it leads to a screen asking me to pick a language. When I press the 'YES' or 'NO' button, nothing seems to happen - in the screen with the choice of languages I sometimes get the list of countries to scroll, but I cannot select one or press the 'OK' button when I have.
It feels like the system is running super slow. I copied the files to a newer Class 10 SD card (they had been on an older Class 4 4GB SD card) but it did not seem to make any difference at all to the problem.
I copied the 'Primo' folder from my old Mio Spirit 687 to the 7700LM - I get the same error as I first got 'Application Primo encountered a serious error and has to shut down' - so that problem certainly seems to be the version of the primo.exe file being used. The version in the M77.rar file is 9.6.5.306142 - the version from my old 687 is 9.6.13.267029 and the version from the P2.Mi Dan.rar file is 9.6.2.209584.
Is it at all possible to run Primo direct from the internal memory of the 7700LM ?
Do either of you have any other ideas about what I can try next ?
Thank you both very much for trying to help me with this problem.

HI dannythedog, thanks very much for trying to help me out, appreciated.
I installed the fileset you linked to but I get an error using it. 'Application Primo.exe has encountered a serious error and must shut down'.
I am not sure what that signifies but it won't work at the moment.
Thanks again.

Hi danythedog78 - thanks very much for sending me the new files. I understand exactly what you want me to try - replace the existing Primo.exe file one at a time with the various Primo XXXXXXX.exe files you - each tested file will be renamed Primo.exe before testing.
I really appreciate you trying to help me, thank you.

Hi rcv64 - Thank you so much for trying to help out. The link you sent me goes to a '403 Forbidden ... nginx' screen - I tried the link on several PC's and 3 different browsers - maybe there is something I don't understand properly ? Thanks again for trying though. I appreciate it.
Hi dannythedog78 - I have tried all the exe's you gave me in the required ways and I am sorry to say that I get the same error each time. Thanks very much for all the efforts that you have put in trying to help, much appreciated.

Hi Secuiu - thanks so much for the timely advice. In the end I used Firefox which I have SetupVPN installed - I never thought to use a VPN as I did not know that ZippyShare was not accessible from the UK - lesson learned, thanks for sharing.
Hi rcv64 - have downloaded and will report back as soon as I can. Thanks for taking the time to share, appreciated.

Hi rcv64 - I have tried the fileset you linked and am sad to say I get the same result. 'Application Primo.exe has encountered a serious prom and need to shut down'.
Thanks for trying to help, that was good of you.
